Been in development since 2011, iconic Universal Pictures reboot of the gangster saga Scarface is getting its third iteration with Luca Guadagnino in the director’s chair, who got worldwide fame for his 2017 adaptation of coming-of-age romantic novel Call Me by Your Name.
Guadagnino’s take on the film will be set in Los Angeles, unlike the Miami vibes Brian De Palma’s legendary 1983 remake is famous for, and will follow a script written by the Coen brothers Joel and Ethan. More news is yet to come. Stay tuned.
